The Marin County Special Districts Association (MCSDA) will be holding an Executive Committee meeting via Zoom on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.

 

The primary agenda item will be:

Discussion of the 2026 Marin County Civil Grand Jury Report, Better Service at Lower Cost – Optimizing Essential Services for the Future of Marin, Special District Responses, and Feedback to Marin County Staff

Marin County staff will attend the meeting to receive feedback from special districts regarding the findings and recommendations contained in the 2026 Marin County Civil Grand Jury Report. A brief overview of the Civil Grand Jury response process will be provided for districts that may be unfamiliar with the statutory response requirements. Member districts will then have an opportunity to discuss their individual responses, share perspectives on the report, and provide comments and feedback to County staff.

Whether or not your district is required to submit a formal response to the Grand Jury Report, your participation is encouraged. This meeting provides an opportunity to share perspectives, ask questions, exchange ideas with other districts, and engage in a discussion with County staff regarding the report. It is also anticipated that County staff will seek feedback from special districts regarding their interest in the County providing additional services to special districts.
